Industry experts say gas prices could continue to climb

They have reached record highs, and the end is not yet in sight, according to industry experts. The U.S. continues to buy more and more of its crude oil from overseas. In 2003, the level of dependence on imports, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) said, was 55 percent. So far this year, that level has risen to nearly 58 percent. In 1994, the U.S. imported 35 to 40 percent of its crude oil.
