Council of Republicans for Environmental Advocacy support ANWR
Today the Council of Republicans for Environmental Advocacy (CREA) has sent letters to the leaders of the House and Senate today supporting the opening of the 10-02 Area of ANWR to help the nation meet its energy needs. CREA is an environmental organization committed to foster environmental protection with fair, community-based solutions finding common ground between individuals, the private sector and conservationists. It holds many esteemed environmentalists on its board such as the former chief of staff of the Environmental Protection Agency Gary Baise and former Executive Director of the Sierra Club Doug Wheeler.
CREA, in its letter to Congress, notes many inconsistencies in the comments of major green organizations on the national energy crisis and prices for fuel. CREA promotes the opening of ANWRs Coastal Plain as part of the solution to easing our energy crisis. CREA also encourages development of clean energy sources, to compliment and hopefully take over the use of fossil fuels. You can read the two letters to the House and Senate leaders below.
