Governor Murkowski to Testify on Energy Bill
Alaska Governor Frank H. Murkowski will be in Washington D.C. to testify before the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce on comprehensive energy policy legislation.

Governor Murkowski to testify before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on behalf of the National Governor’s Association with concluding remarks on Alaska-specific issues.

3 p.m. EST Press Conference
Governor Murkowski will hold a press conference to discuss comprehensive energy legislation, national security issues and Alaska’s role in developing new domestic sources of energy. In particular, the governor will focus on oil and gas development in the Coastal Plain of ANWR, the development of natural gas hydrates, developments concerning an Alaska natural gas pipeline and NGA recommendations on energy policy.
