Ahmaogak, Former Mayor, North Slope Borough
Ahmaogak is an Alaskan
born Inupiat Eskimo currently serving his fourth term as Borough
Mayor. He was first elected in 1984 and was formerly President
of the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation, the Village Corporation of
Barrow. Ahmaogak is passionate about his support for opening
the ANWR Coastal Plain for oil and gas development.

Lon
Sonsalla, Mayor, City of Kaktovik
Kaktovik is the only community
located within the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge. According to Sonsalla, development of the coastal
plain is a must. "The most important thing is the future
for the people out here. Declining revenues in the North Slope Borough
have effected everybody who lives here. Wešre looking forward to
the future and wešre not sure what the future would be like without
ANWR."

Ken
Boyd, Oil and Gas Consultant
Ken Boyd is the former Director
of the Division of Oil & Gas in the Department of Natural Resources.
In that capacity Ken was responsible for management of all aspects
of the State of Alaskas leasing programs, royalty accounting, unitizations,
settlement negotiations and in-kind oil sales. Ken has extensive
experience providing legislative testimony and providing information
to government agencies, the media and public. Ken has a Masters
in geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Mark Meyers, Director, Division of Oil & Gas, State of Alaska
Department of Natural Resources
Mark Meyers is a geologist with
over 17 years of experience in Alaska. The Division of Oil and Gas
is responsible for encouraging oil and gas exploration, selecting
and evaluating potential lease areas, and leasing the states oil
and gas resources. It also monitors and administers leases to ensure
that the state receives its fair share of rents and royalties. Mark
has a doctorate in geology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
He worked for oil companies in Louisiana before coming to Alaska
as an exploration geologist for ARCO Alaska, Inc.
Fenton
Rexford, Chairman of the North Slope Borough Fish and Game Committee.
Fenton Rexford was born and raised in the village of Kaktovik
on Barter Island, home to the only residents in the Arctic National
Wildlife Refuge. In addition to being the Chair of the North Slope
Borough Fish and Game Committee, he is the Chairman of the North
Slope Subsistence Regional Advisory council under the Federal Subsistence
Management Program. Fenton was appointed by former Secretary of
the Interior Bruce Babbitt to represent the Native village
interests on the Minerals Management Advisory board, Alaska Outer
Continental Shelf Region Offshore Advisory Committee.
Richard Glenn, Director, Department of Energy Management, North
Slope Borough (NSB).
Richard Glenn is an Inupiat Eskimo from
Barrow, Alaska. He has a BS in Geology from San Jose State University,
MS in Geology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and is working
on his Doctoral studies at UAF. His responsibilities at the NSB
include operating and maintaining the Barrow gas fields in a safe
and efficient manner. Richard is a Certified Professional Geologist,
President of the Barrow Arctic Science Consortium, and Board Member
of the Arctic Research Consortium of the United States.
Roger
Herrera, Consultant, Northern Knowledge
As a former geologist
for British Petroleum Herrera was awarded for his assessment of
the North Slope which led to the discovery of the Prudhoe Bay oil
field. He subsequently became a major player in legislative issues
of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. He's testified over
50 times before the U.S. Congress on oil and gas matters and has
been spokesman for ANWR development on numerous occasions.

John Katz, Alaska Governoršs Office Washington
D.C.
John Katz is the former Commissioner of the Department
of Natural Resources. For the past 20 years, Mr. Katz has
served as Alaskašs representative at the Governoršs Office in Washington,
D.C. for five different Alaska governors from three different parties.

Oliver Leavitt, Chairman of Board of Directors and Vice President
for Lands and Government Affairs, Arctic Slope Regional Corporation,
(ASRC).
ASRC is one of Alaska's 13 regional Native Corporations.
In his position at ASRC, Leavitt is responsible for overseeing the
management of the corporation's nearly five million acres of land
on the Arctic Slope. Because ASRC owns the subsurface rights to
92,000 acres in ANWR, Mr. Leavitt continues to fight for the opening
of the coastal plain to oil and gas exploration and development.
